Solutions Architect

This role focuses on CloudBlue, a HostPapa business that powers cloud commerce for many of the world’s largest service providers, including major Telcos, distributors, and MSPs. CloudBlue enables partners to monetize and manage cloud services and subscriptions at scale, combining the agility of a high-growth business with the backing of a global organization.

As a Solutions Architect, you will design, build, and support cloud-based systems that power large-scale, high-performance platforms. You’ll work across global teams, lead technical initiatives, and create scalable solutions that support our fast-growing product ecosystem. This role blends strategic architecture with hands-on engineering, giving you the opportunity to shape complex cloud environments while driving technical excellence across the organization.

What you'll do

• Design distributed applications and systems across private and public cloud environments
• Build scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud-based solutions
• Evaluate requirements and recommend architectural approaches for deployment and provisioning
• Lead cloud migration projects for complex, multi-tier applications
• Develop enterprise-wide cloud operations that support global scale
• Provide best-practice guidance across multiple projects and application teams
• Build and maintain templates, blueprints, and reusable cloud architecture components
• Support API, middleware, eCommerce, and database solution design
• Work closely with engineering teams to operationalize cloud technologies
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance cloud solutions
• Apply a DevOps mindset to improve automation, performance, and efficiency
• Stay current on emerging cloud tools and evolving technology landscapes

About you

• 5+ years of experience in engineering or architecture roles supporting global, large-scale environments (1000+ servers)
• Strong background in cloud design, distributed systems, and large-scale platform engineering
• Experience leading technical initiatives within large or complex organizations
• Hands-on experience with private and public cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of big data frameworks such as MapReduce, Hive, Spark, or Pig
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to simplify complex technology landscapes and provide clear architectural direction
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to drive integration efforts across teams
• Deep knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and cloud-related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
